Handheld Business Leader

Manage all facets of XXX Korea HPG organization, including business
development, marketing, customer technical support and inside
sales (operations)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Handheld Products Group (HPG) business
    in Korea.
  • Formulate and execute on a Korea business plan, aligned
    with HPG corporate strategy.
  • Introduce and cultivate customer senior management
    relationships with, but not limited to LGE, Samsung, Korean
    carriers, broadcasters, ISVs & relevant governmental
    organizations.
  • Responsible for closing business and generating revenue
    starting FY2007, aligned with HPG Korea business plan.
  • Help establish & set favorable 3D & Mobile TV standards in
    Korea.
  • Keep HQ up to speed and at the forefront of the Korea
    market
    s evolving dynamics.
  • Provide direction to HQ engineering, business and marketing
    managers.
  • Pro-actively assist in building local support team, as required.
  • Participate in various business meetings & planning sessions,
    as required.
  • Participate in industry trade shows on behalf of the Company.
    Evangelizing for XXX hardware feature support and
    optimization from 3rd party software developers.

Requirements

  • Prior Biz Dev/sales mgmt with LGE and/or Samsung 
  • Senior level experience and contacts within LGE and/or
    Samsung mobile handset groups
  • Senior level contacts within Korean carriers
  • Excellent written, oral English communication and
    presentation skills
     
  • The ability to identify, recognize, and act on opportunities
  • Self-motivated, organized, goal oriented, results driven,
    accountable
  • Strong Sales & Technical background in Telecom space 
  • Strong account management skills
  • Ability work in an autonomous environment
  • Team player; able to contribute & communicate ideas, take
    high level direction, and formulate & execute on individual
    and group goals
  • Able to formulate strategy and business planning
  • People management experience previously managed staff
  • Understands how to work in a satellite office and interface
    with international HQ
  • Capable of understanding and managing forecast planning
    activities.
     
  • Minimum 10 years sales experience working in semiconductor
    industry
  • Minimum 10 years experience working with handheld
    customers
  • Minimum 10 years people manager experience
  • Experience to work for both of Korea base company and
    North American based company
  •   Additional Requirements
    Potential frequent trips to xxxxxxx and due to 13/14-hour
    time difference may require frequent early morning or late
    night calls with HPG HQ in xxxxxx.
